Our Wedding

A boy from Boston. A girl from San Diego. Two people who found each other in the middle of the desert and never questioned it.	Joe carries his grandfather's Brooklyn roots wherever he goes — that unmistakable New York-Italian spirit that doesn't leave you no matter how far from home you roam. Kristina carries her Serbian heritage with equal pride — the music, the dances, the traditions her family kept alive across generations and across oceans. Two cultures, two coasts, one first date in downtown Chandler. Sometimes life is beautifully uncomplicated like that.	Then there's Zeus. Kristina's German Shepherd/Border Collie mix who came with the relationship and quickly became the heartbeat of their home. Joe never hesitated — not even for a moment. These days Zeus is equal parts chaos and comfort, the kind of dog who reminds you that the best things in life have fur and absolutely no concept of personal space.	Their families finally met and it felt less like an introduction and more like a reunion. The kind of night that stretches long because nobody wants it to end, filled with laughter that makes you wonder why it took so long to get everyone in the same room.	Joe asked Mike for his daughter's hand the way men like them do things — working side by side, hands dirty, no fanfare. Just two guys and a gutter project and a question that changed everything. And on the eve of Kristina's birthday, over a dinner she thought was just a celebration, Joe got down on one knee. A plate of macarons arrived at exactly the wrong moment. Kristina didn't notice. She said yes.	Now it's Plymouth, Massachusetts. September 25, 2027. One night, two families, and a lifetime that's just getting started. Show up, raise a glass, and celebrate what the desert brought together.

Our Story

Photos

Danny and Joe met in an accounting class at Arizona State and have been close ever since. When Joe found his way into the mortgage industry, it was Danny who opened the door. He's been a constant in Joe's corner ever since — he kind of friend you don't have to explain yourself to.

Danny Weber

More soul sister than best friend. Tyler has been Kristina's safe place, her voice of reason, and the person who has loved her through every version of herself. Family by choice long before there was a wedding to stand up in.

Tyler Ellsworth

Joe's oldest cousin and one of his earliest role models. David is where Joe's love of baseball was born. Growing up with cousins more than a decade older has a way of shaping you — and David shaped Joe in the best ways.

David Fusaro

Kristina's cousin and one of her closest friends. Watching Alexi build her own family — the marriage, the kids, the life — is part of what made Kristina so ready for this chapter of her own. Family by blood, friend by choice.

Alexi Cabatingan

Cousin and godfather, and he has worn both titles with the same quiet steadiness his whole life. Like David, Chris has always been more than family to Joe — he's been a guide, the kind who leads by example rather than instruction. Some of the steadiest years of Joe's life have had Chris somewhere in the frame.

Chris Fusaro

Forged in the California years, when the two of them were inseparable — working together, going out together, surviving every adventure that came of it. Partner in crime, hype woman, occasional voice of reason. Life has changed since; this hasn't.

Ahlee Thomas

Kristina's big brother, and he's never once let her forget it. He and Joe clicked immediately, mostly over how much they both like messing with her. Standing on Joe's side just makes it official — and Kristina wouldn't have it any other way.

Stephan Miljkovic

Childhood friends who grew up alongside each other and never drifted. In Serbian tradition the kuma is far more than a member of the wedding party — she is a lifelong witness to the marriage and a trusted confidante for the years that follow. There was never anyone else to ask.

Kristina Zivkovic

Joe's most recent close friend, and the one who knows Joe and Kristina best as a couple — he's had a front-row seat to the whole thing from the start. If you want an honest read on these two together, ask Nate. He'll give you one, which is exactly why Joe keeps him around.

Nate Dolan

The best thing Arizona gave Kristina besides Joe. What started as a friendship turned into sisterhood fast — every vent session, every celebration, every hard week. The kind of friend everyone hopes to find.

Alyssa Jones

Childhood best friends, the kind that doesn't need a long explanation. Kevin has known Joe through every version of himself, from Boston to Arizona and everything in between, and the two of them pick up right where they left off every single time.

Kevin Jackson

Some friendships take years to build and some just click. Karly walked in and it felt like she'd always been there — Kristina's Western soul sister, and the friend who makes everything more fun for being in it.

Karly Reese

Joe and Isaac met during Joe's years in professional baseball. Isaac is the logical rock — the one who keeps Joe grounded when everything else is moving fast. Every good team needs someone like Isaac.

Isaac Ballou

The friend who has been there through more chapters than most, and who has never once needed to be asked twice. Lydia shows up, keeps Kristina laughing, keeps her grounded, and can be counted on to bring her best moves to the dance floor.

Wedding Party

FORMAL

We'd love for our guests to dress formally — think elegant and polished for a special night we'll never forget.

What to wear

For the gentlemen, a suit and tie. For the ladies, a cocktail or floor-length dress. No tuxedos required, though nobody will stop you.

A note on the weather

September evenings on the harbor get cool once the sun goes down, and the patio will be open all night — a wrap or a jacket is a good idea.

Colors

No restrictions, and no need to match the wedding party. Wear what makes you feel good.
